As growth investors, we invest in companies that we believe will be able to grow their profits over time. We know that, over time, the price of a share will reflect the underlying performance of the company, so if a company is able to grow its profits its share price will also ultimately rise. Fisher Funds is a long term investor and we encourage investors to regard their investment with us as being long term. Although your funds are not ‘locked in’ for any period, we do ask that you give us three to five years to really maximise the growth potential of your investment.
When you invest with Fisher Funds, your money is held by Trustees Executors Limited, New Zealand’s oldest and largest corporate trustee. Trustees Executors Limited is independent of Fisher Funds and has a duty to act in the interests of investors. The trustee monitors the investments made by Fisher Funds to ensure they are consistent with what investors should expect and holds the funds assets in their name (on behalf of the investor).
Importantly, Fisher Funds do not lend out your money that you have invested with us. It is “pooled” with thousands of other investors and invested in the share market. Your investment with us is represented by units. Units are a bit like shares. The value of units changes every day (just like shares) depending on the value of the underlying assets.
