Many New Zealand, Australian and International companies are world class in product, but remain largely ‘undiscovered’ by the world’s investing community, partly because they are focused more on the doing than the telling. Such companies are often too small to be noticed by larger investors and can remain undervalued in spite of achieving real earnings growth. Fisher Funds' objective is to identify smaller, growing companies that have the ability to double their profits over a 3-5 year period. If we buy and hold such companies, we know that their share prices will ultimately follow suit.
We are a specialist investment manager, channeling all our efforts into achieving investment returns that exceed our investors’ expectations. We think it is important that our key staff own Fisher Funds – this means that our interests are directly aligned with yours.
We have a straightforward approach. We invest in good quality, proven growth companies. We do not seek ‘bargains’ or try to ‘time the market’. We simply invest in growing companies, knowing that share price growth ultimately follows earnings growth.
We try to know more about our companies than any other investor. We visit them often, know them well, and in many cases, have owned them for a very long time.
We choose our investments company by company and only invest after we have completed thorough analysis of each business, its competitors and its management. We believe that this thorough research approach minimises the risk of nasty surprises.
Our approach has been time-tested over twenty years. We recognise that past performance is no guarantee of future results; however our investment style has been successful in good times and bad, and provides some comfort in an otherwise uncertain investment world.
