Investing in Infrastructure Fund :" A Lifeline between ... Ships.."
Could the FF team please sketch out the macinations of transferring out of current funds into new entity in terms of value transfer : is that Dollar equivialent value or units from old fund in proportion to issue price in Infa fund ?
2.What will issue price be in new fund ? 3. Is this a cash fund until assetts are bought OR will there be 100 % acquisition on day one ?
4. In Carmels press release she eschows the opinion that "Ordinary" share portfolios should have around 10% exposure to infrastructure . A vote of ? confidence or not ..
Does this advice apply to FF investors too ?
With Thanks KK

THe real test for John Key is to be able to put his wealth of Merchant Banking experience into play and so create the confidence that a small country needs to weather the storm we are all in and not for just the next thre years :-))!!
KIWIBANK : If only NZ had followed Australia's lead back when Paul Keating started compulsory Superannuation savings in 1991 then of course how much better off NZ would be .
But by continuing the $1,000.00 freebee to start the scheme ; particularly for kids accounts then what a great investment that will be for future prosperity ... however the old 3 year time horizon to next election has seen so many worthwhile " Long term" plans Labour OR National be tossed out of the window ... with the new born baby ... |

I have no doubt whatsoever that the incoming National government will be more friendly to business. Labour, unfortunately, was dominated by a faction that considers business essentially corrupt, or at least, self serving. National understands where wealth is created in the economy. The change of government has to be seen as hugely positive.
John Key is said to be pragmatic, but I don't see this as a disadvantage, quite the opposite. Let's hope he has the guts to push forward in the next few months, which I suspect are going to be challenging. |
